As a 19 years old designer I was beyond fascinated by the works of Late. Zaha Hadid. Each project of hers is like an art piece on its own, An art piece larger can the human, It’s an art piece one can live in. The thought of it was compelling. For the first time, I could see why architecture is also a part of the art field.
The next step was to start exploring how this 360 degrees of architectural form generation works. After months of hassle and training, I started exploring the world of Sub-D Modelling. The first thing I came across was 'SPLINE', in its simplest form spline is a 2D continuous curve with a limited set of control points. And SubD, or sub-division modeling, is a set of surfaces based on a cage of points. You can tug and pull on the cage to change the shape of the surface. It’s kind of like a 3D equivalent of a spline, where you move control points.
